An association copy, inscribed on the half-title page: "For Tom & Marie Till, In celebration of our great landscape -- David Muench, May 1995." He has authored more than 30 books (including collaborations with writers such as John McPhee in Outcroppings) and owns his own gallery in Moab. Muench is an even more prolific author of 60 books of landscape photography and among other honors is the recipient of the National Parks Conservation Association's Robin W. Winks Award for Enhancing Public Understanding of National Parks. This book surveys and celebrates more than forty National Parks via Muench's fine images and at its center includes a 15-page essay by former Secretary of the Interior Stewart Udall and his nephew James R. Udall. They also provide a short tribute to Muench at the beginning. A tall quarto in black leatherette, gilt lettering to spine. Color photos on every page.  A fine book, fit for a coffee table, in a very near fine jacket with just a touch of creasing/streaking to rear top edge. Fine / Near fine. Item #2087
