Uncommon signed. "The Pied Piper of walkers," Fletcher had a big hand in the popularization of backpacking via books like The Complete Walker and The Thousand-Mile Summer. This late book is perhaps his most reflective, "a highly personal celebration of solitary backpacking (and day walking, too), in the wild places of the world, and of all the attendant pleasures." Very good with a slight slant to spine, extremely faint foxing to text block edges, and some dust-soiling to the top face. In a very good, price-clipped jacket with light sunning to spine.
