Dobbs is a freelance science writer for high-profiled magazines, and this book looks a the long-running argument between Darwin and Alexander Agassiz (the son of Louis Agassiz) over the formation of coral. Darwin was right, of course, but Agassiz pushed oceanography forward substantially as he traveled the world studying coral. An interesting book on the evolution of science and the history of evolution. Near fine with a little rubbing to spine tail, otherwise crisp and tight. In a fine jacket. Near fine / Fine. Item #1924
