This book is "a complex tapestry of multicultural viewpoints on the theme of homeland" drawn from Loeffler's radio work, writings, and other interviews. Loeffler has carefully arranged a chorus of voices that provide original testimony on topics critical to the West. Interviewees include Gary Paul Nabhan, Stewart Udall, Bruce Babbitt, Patricia Limerick and many others. Loeffler is perhaps best known as a friend and biographer of Edward Abbey.
