Uncommon signed, with no other copies available as of this writing. Winner of the Sigurd F. Olson Nature Writing Award and a National Outdoor Book Award. An adventurous tale about following the Porcupine caribou herd migration, on foot and on skis, on its migration, from the Yukon to Arctic Wildlife Refuge. Milkweed Editions reissued this book in paperback three years later, which is itself a great recommendation. Heuer is a wildlife biologist and park warden, as well as a stellar writer. A very near fine book with a little rubbing to corners; in a near fine jacket with a light crease along spine and few nicks there. Item #1882
