Winner of the John Burroughs Medal for natural history writing in 1957, the book details Carr's travels in the Carribean to study sea turtles and his many other ecology and wildlife he encounters along the way. Carr was a professor of biological sciences at the University of Florida. A very good copy in orange cloth with a little bumping and sunning to spine ends and top edges of boards. In a very good jacket with loss to spine ends, wear to corners, and sunning and a small stain on the spine; the jacket's panels are bright and very attractive, a bold design. Very good / Very good.
