Uncommon, with no other copies currently available, and notable for the one-page memorial statement from the Wisconsin Conservation commission at front about Aldo Leopold, who had died in April, less than two months earlier. Opposite the statement is the classic portrait of Leopold admiring his young larches with a pipe in mouth. The issue's other articles reflect on Wisconsin's (illustrious) conservation history more generally, with articles on forestry, wildlife protection, and more (see photo of table of contents). Wrappers printed in gray and blue, staple bound. 96 pages. Very good with rubbing and some fraying to spine edge, a short split to lower spine. A few symmetrical blue ink splotches to first two pages. Pencil marks, light scratching to rear wrap. But in nice shape for a booklet that was designed to be mailed directly, without an envelope.
