An anthology that meditates on the influence of Thoreau, including on John Muir, and on the unofficial naming of a Sierra Nevada peak (Peak 12,691) in his honor by the participants up an ascent in 2014 (Gary Snyder and David Robertson stayed at the trailhead). With stunning color images of Mt. Thoreau and the surrounding Sierra Nevada by Christopher Woodcock and a cover woodblock illustration by Tom Killion.
