Uncommon signed, with no other copies available as of this writing. Selections from her journals across the years as well as new pieces, arranged in four sections. The third section explores her life married to Henry Beston and their time at Chimney Farm in Maine. Coatsworth remains under-recognized, but she was an accomplished poet and prose writer. She was also a prolific children's author and won a Newbery Medal. Handsome paper boards with a red cloth spine; very good with foxing to text block's edges and some spare, sporadic foxing to front matter only. The rest of the text is clean. In a very good price-clipped jacket with a touch of wear to corners and one tear 1.5-inch tear at top of spine, hardly visible under mylar
